Family Project

Towards the end of the month we will start to talk about Easter and all that the holiday celebrates.  For this month’s family project we would like you to create an Easter Bonnet for each of the girls in the classroom.  You can add any decorations to the hat.  Each of the boys are going to create an Easter tie to wear for our Easter celebration.    Each boy can use any tie, and add any decorations in order to personalize it for themselves. Please send in the bonnet on or before March 23rd.  If you have any questions please feel free to let us know.

  Writing Our Names:

Please have your child practice writing their name with upper case and lower case letters.  We are talking with the kids on letter placement.  (Ex:  Part of the lower case y goes below the line we write on.)

Pajama Day:

We are having a Pre-School Pajama Day on March 16th.  Have your children wear their pajamas to school along with sneakers.  We will have a special snack and games.

Pajama and Movie Night:

On March 16th we will have a Pajama and Movie night here at school that the Pre-School/Pre-K classes are sponsoring.  Classrooms will be open to view at 5:30 and the movie will start at 6:00 in the Literacy Center. We are going to be watching Puss in Boots, which is rated PG.  Snacks and juice will be available for purchase.   Please come and join the fun!!

Basket Affair:

The Basket Affair will be on March 24th.  Please join us for a night of fun!  Each classroom is asked to make a basket for the basket affair and our class would like to do the same thing as we did last year because it was a big hit and raised a lot of money for our school.  We would like it if each family could send in $5.00 to donate towards buying a child’s bicycle and helmet.  If you could send in your donation to us by March 19th, so we have time to purchase the bike.  If you have any questions please let us know.
