Moodle is an Open Source Course Management System (CMS), also known as a Learning Management System (LMS)
or a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). It has become very popular among educators around the world as a tool for creating online dynamic web sites for their students.
Moodle is installed on the Syracuse Diocese’s server and Rome Catholic School is currently using it in Jr/Sr High School courses and is piloting its use with Grades 5 and 6.
Our teachers use the many activity modules (such as Forums, Wikis, Databases, Glossaries, and Chat Rooms, Assignments, Quizzes) to present and assess their subject matter.
